What is FirmFX™?
FirmFX™ by Venus Viva™ is safe for all skin types and operates with the revolutionary NanoFractional Radio Frequency™ (RF) and SmartScan™ technology that delivers superior results through a painless selectional dermal heating process for enhanced patient comfort. The use of NanoFractional RF™ delivers energy through the epidermis, to the dermis, to generate heat and initiate skin change, collagen remodelling and fibroblast stimulation, all resulting in tissue remodelling.
How many treatments will I need?
For successful, long term results a typical treatment plan will require 3-4 FirmFX™ treatments, combined with DiamondPolar™ treatments performed on alternating weeks.
Ultimately, the number of treatments required will vary patient to patient and can be assessed in your consultation.
How far apart should the treatments be?
FirmFX™ treatments should be conducted every second week, with DiamondPolar™ treatments performed in alternating weeks.
How many FirmFX tips will my treatment require?
Each Venus Viva FirmFX™ applicator tip will facilitate 1000 shots. Generally, a facial treatment plan will require 300-330 FirmFX™ shots per treatment, so a typical 3 session treatment plan will use one tip. Treatment plans that combine the face, neck and décolletage will require approximately 350-450 shots, depending on the size and condition of the treatment area.
How long will my treatment last?
Most treatments last less than 30 minutes, allowing rapid and powerful outcomes.
Is there any downtime?
With minimal downtime and no pain, a treatment to one area can take less than 30 minutes allowing you to enjoy the immediate and long term benefits shortly after a treatment. While you will be able to return to daily activities immediately following your treatment, some patients will experience a mild sunburn sensation and redness post treatment, which will generally subside within 36 hours.
How do I care for my skin post treatment?
While your skin is rejuvenating, it’s important to keep it protected. Ensure you use a zinc based sunscreen and avoid any sun exposure for 48 hours following treatment. Mineral makeup can be applied 24 hours after treatment. Throughout your treatment plan, and for the fortnight following, ensure you protect your skin from sun and UV exposure by avoiding direct sun and always using a protective sunscreen.
How long will results last?
Venus Viva results are long term, and hindered only by the natural aging process. A treatment plan is recommended twice a year to ensure your most beautiful, youthful and rejuvenated skin.
